The Borealis half check leather dog collar is made with large Crystal Aurore Boreale Swarovski crystals and alternating medium sized crystals in a choice of colours.
To customise your new P'etiquette designer dog collar, first choose your leather colour. The colours available can be selected from the drop down menu and can be viewed on our colour options page. Please note that our hand dyed leathers can vary in colour slightly from what you may see on your computer screen.
Once you've chosen your leather colour, then choose which colour of medium Swarovski crystal you'd like to be placed next to the large Aurore Boreale crystals. We currently have seven colours available, and each will be set in place by hand. We line our collars with a soft pigskin leather lining (black or brown depending on which leather colour you choose). This ensures that our collars are luxuriously soft and comfy around the neck.
Next choose the perfect width for your collar. This half check collar can be made in 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" widths, and in lengths starting at 10". If you'd like a smaller size, let us know and we can make it for you with ease. For a guide on how to choose the right size, click the "additional information" tab above.
Finally, how about completing the set with a matching lead? We can make leads with the same crystal design at the base of the lead near the clip, or as a plain leather lead in the matching leather colour. All of our leads are made with the same soft lining leather as we use on the collars.
Your half check collar and lead will be hand made to order, and will normally be sent out within five working days. At busier periods this can be slightly longer.

| Fitting Guide | To correctly fit a half check collar take a tape measure around the dogs neck where you would like the collar to sit. Make sure that the tape measure is quite snug around the neck and make a note of the measurement. Select the neck size from the drop down menu, we'll then make the collar accordingly. If the neck size was 14", then we'll make the collar so that the leather and the two rings on either side of the collar will measure approx 13". This would then give about an inch of chain when tight, so the dog will be unable to back out of the collar, but will still be nice and comfy when loose. It is important to make sure that the collar is not permanently tight around the dogs neck. The purpose of the collar is to allow you to check the dog, then release. This way there will be no discomfort for the dog, but it will quickly learn where the heel position is. |
